Disney Music makes everything better

Have you ever heard of this magical thing called pandora?
Well, it is the main reason why I actually don't mind sitting down to my computer to do homework.
Why, you ask?

because there is a Disney Music pandora station!!!

How amazing is that?!
I am a self-proclaimed Disney princess so being able to listen to all of the movie soundtracks makes me so happy and makes my work a little less horrible.

The horrible part is usually when I am doing my math homework.

I could talk until I am blue in the face, but when it comes to doing math problems... I am useless. But you know that won't stop me, being a busy bee I don't want anything to hold me back so I am using my resources. I have gotten a tutor and we just our exams back and I got a B!!
Take that math!

Small victory for me.

Well, it is almost the weekend and I am so excited because I have NO plans!!

WOO!

I know that doesn't sound exactly what a college student should be excited about for their weekend plans, but I have been so busy with stuff for volunteering, that I cannot wait to just lounge around with no responsibilities.

Well, I have to go because Grey's Anatomy is on soon, and that is my favorite shows.

Here is an inspirational quote to keep you all going!

Try to be like the turtle - at ease in your own shell.

I survived

Last week was probably one of the most stressful weeks of my life. 2 exams, lots of volunteer work, homework, and social business. Not too mention I got a cold.. sniffle sniffle

Here is an inspirational quote for today:

Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.
Robert Louis Stevenson

Keep on buzzing,

Dam you Calender

I am a visual person, and since I have a lot to do, and bad memory, it is absolutely necessary for me to write my whole schedule on a calender so I can see all that I need to do. It is also color coded according to subject.

Anything written in blue is school work (like project due dates, tests, etc)
Anything written in red is volunteer work (like events, meetings)
Anything written in black is social (Birthdays, holidays, parties)

Sadly, there is usually little black on my calenders these days...

Any way..

Being that it is a new month, I needed to erase everything on my dry erase calender, and put in events for october, and boy was that frightening. This week alone has me depending on caffeine to get me through all that I need to do. Don't believe me, Let's go on a magical journey I like to call, Katie's torture week

Monday:
Class from 9:00-1:50
Run blood drive 2:00-3:00
Chalk the Quad 3:00-4:00
Somehow attempt to look pretty 4:00-5:00
Boyfriend's birthday dinner 5:00- 7:00
How I met Your Mother (which is my saving grace!!) 7:00-7:30
Watch documentary for sociology,
write 2 papers, and
40 problems of online math homework 7:30-???

And that is just today! You can pretty much imagine what the rest of the week will look like.
I almost forgot, I've got class soon. Thank goodness for phone alarms, otherwise I would never remember anything!! I'm feeling a little bit like Dory today. Oh well,
I will keep you all posted on if I make it through tonight...

Just Keep Swimming,
Katie

The honey isn't going to make itself

Let me take this first entry to introduce myself, I'm Katie. A freshman in college, and a notorious busy bee.
What do I mean by that?
Well, all throughout highschool I was involved in numerous things, theater productions, choir, and different leadership roles and clubs.I enjoy partaking in extra curricular activities, as well as hanging with friends. I also am dating a boy, Brian. We have been together for three years, and he is also involved in outside activities, in highschool, he was on the varsity soccer team for two years, along with a leadership/mentoring role that I too took part in.

Ok, so that's my highschool life, now... COLLEGE!

College is AMAZING. My boyfriend and I go to the same college, I have met tons of new people and am involved! I am in SWAT, which stands for student wellness ambassador team, (we're the ones that hand out the condoms) and in friendly faces which is a peer counseling program for victims of sexual violence. So I'm pretty busy, how I like it. But I will be the first to admit that juggling college course work along with volunteering and somehow finding time to socialize can be a struggle. So I am "blogging" as a way to look into the behind the scenes work of a busy bee.

More to come later today.
